MUDr. Michaela Grossová, PhD. has successfully graduated from her doctoral studies and specialized exams in Gynaecology, obstetrics and reproductive medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University in Bratislava. Her expertise in the fields of fertility treatment and assisted reproduction is well-documented by the number of articles published and lectures given in front of domestic as well as international audiences. She is a member of ESC (European Society of Cardiology) as well as ESHRE (European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology). Since 2011 she has become an essential part of the medical team at the ISCARE Bratislava clinic. She became the Chief Medical Officer for the both ISCARE clinics in 2021. Her focus is mainly on donors program and vitrification (freezing) of oocytes and social freezing.

Doc. MUDr. Jozef Války, CSc. is a leading expert in the field of assisted reproduction in Slovakia. He was one of the first doctors in Slovakia to focus on fertility problems and he was the one behind the first Slovak "test-tube" baby - a baby born thanks to the in vitro fertilization (IVF) methods. Thanks to his expertise he later became a Chief Specialist in Reproductive Medicine of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic as well as the Chairman of the Section of Assisted Reproduction of the Slovak Gynecological Society. In the international field, he has attended and lectured on assisted reproduction at international congresses, became a member of ESHRE (European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology) and also worked as an IVF consultant in Kuwait. As the founder of the ISCARE clinic, he has been a part of our team from the very beginning, and even though he is not treating new patients anymore, he still remains an integral part of our team of doctors.

MUDr. Peter Hrúzik CSc. studied at the Faculty of Medicine at Comenius University Bratislava. He has second-degree certification in Gynaecology, obstetrics and reproductive medicine. He has successfully earned the degree of the Candidate of Medical Sciences with his thesis "The Importance of Cytogenetic Examination in the Diagnosis of Infertility". When the first "test-tube baby" in Slovakia was born, he was there, pioneering the IVF method in this country. His international experiences are rich thanks to internships in Austria, Germany, Netherlands and Israel. He was also a part of the experts' team at the Health Ministry of the Slovak republic in Saint Vincent and Paul Hospital in Malta. He gave lectures about IVF at congresses around the world and was the first-ever Doctor from former Czechoslovakia lecturing at the ESHRE Congress in 1987. Right now, he is focusing on older patients and the genetic causes of sterility.

MUDr. Lenka Lapides studied at the Faculty of Medicine at Comenius University in Bratislava, with part of her studies being spent abroad in Finland. She spent the following six years in Germany. During this period, she passed an attestation exam in gynaecology and obstetrics in Munich and worked in a team of prominent doctors in Bavaria. There she focused on gynaecological oncology under the guidance of doctor Kuhn. She completed internships on clinics in Israel, the United Kingdom, Finland, Germany, Austria and the Czech republic. She is a member of several international professional societies, including ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology). Since 2019 she became a part of the ISCARE team in Bratislava, where her main specialization is immunological factors in infertility. This topic is also the main focus of her ongoing postgraduate studies. Dr. Lapides is currently on maternity leave.

Mudr.Lea Macháneková - Doctor IVF

She graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine of UK FUniversity in Bratislava. In 2008 she attended Gynecology and Obstetrics. She gained experience in the field of assisted reproduction at the Gennet Clinic in Prague. He actively participates in all international congresses focused on ultrasound diagnostics and assisted reproduction. She is a member of the Czech Gynecological and Obstetrical Society. Since 2019 she has been a part of the ISCARE team and has been dedicated to Slovak and foreign patients.

MUDr. Bianka Lévayová got her diploma from Faculty of Medinice at Comenius University in Bratislava. Following her studies, she completed her certification in Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the 1st Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Bratislava University Hospital in 2019. During this time, she also attended several internships abroad, focusing on reproductive medicine and perinatology, including her stay in Preis School in Florence or at the ÚPMD in Prague. She is participating at domestic as well as international congresses and is a member of the Slovak Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics. She became a member of the ISCARE team in 2019, mainly focussing on foreign patients. Currently is dr. Lévayová on maternity leave.

Mgr. Denisa Mazániková studied at the Faculty of Nursing and Professional Health Studies at Slovak Medical University in Bratislava. She gained a lot of experiences while working at a urology and an ophthalmology clinic as well as a wast knowledge by actively attending domestic and international conferences in these two fields. Since 2019 she became a part of our wonderful nursing team in ISCARE as a Lead nurse.

After graduating from medical high school, Marcela Pauelová started to work at the Anesthesiology and Resuscitation Department of University Hospital Bratislava, where she gained valuable experiences she uses at her work to this day. Later on, she continued with her studies at the Faculty of Nursing and Health Professional Studies at the Slovak Medical University in Bratislava. Besides the bachelor degree, she also received the Surgical Instrument Technician certificate. She is an inseparable part of the ISCARE since 2008, currently as Deputy Lead Nurse.

After graduating as a midwife at a medical high school, Sylvia Zavačanová started her career at the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics at one of the hospitals in Bratislava. Later on, she had also worked at the Hospital & Polyclinic in Spišská Nová Ves and at the Koch Sanatorium in Bratislava. She has never stopped learning and improving her skills. While working as a nurse, she completed a specialized course Intensive Care in Gynaecology and Obstetrics and earned certification in Psychophysical Preparation for Childbirth at Slovak Medical University in Bratislava. Besides that, she regularly participates in conferences and seminars, mainly in the field of gynaecology and assisted reproduction. Since 2017, she has become a part of the team of nurses at our clinic in Bratislava.

Mgr. Daniel Masarovič studied biology at the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Comenius University Bratislava. He gained rich experiences in the field of embryology during his work at The British Specialised Centre for Fertility Treatment and IVF at Erbil, Iraq. Since 2012 he is a part of our embryology team at ISCARE, where he is specialising in evaluating embryos cultivated using the Time-lapse incubator, and embryo biopsy for preimplantation genetic diagnostics. He visits domestic as well as international conferences about assisted reproduction regularly.

After studying biology at the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Comenius University in Bratislava, Mgr. Ana Ivanová continued with her postgraduate studies at the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW), where she participated in the international science project of several European countries. In 2002 she started to work in the laboratory at ISCARE Bratislava and between 2004 and 2021 she was acting as the Head of Laboratory. While working at ISCARE, Ana continued to gain new knowledge in her field. Besides the regular attendance of conferences focusing on embryology and preimplantation genetic testing, she undergo training in Israel in 2004 and in 2008 she, together with doctor Války, took a part in a workshop in Copenhagen focused on In Vitro Maturation of Oocytes. Together, they implemented this method at our clinic, which made ISCARE the first clinic in Slovakia to utilize it. She is also a member of the Committee of National Representatives at ESHRE. Currently, her main focus as an embryologist is the vitrification of oocytes and social freezing.

Mgr. Inez Romerová Ortizová studied virology at the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Comenius University Bratislava. She became a part of our ISCARE embryology team in 2017. Her field of focus is the vitrification of oocytes. She visits domestic as well as international conferences about assisted reproduction regularly.

Mgr.Kristína Kordošová- Head of Andrological Laboratory

She studied molecular biology at the Faculty of Science, Comenius University in Bratislava. He actively participates in international conferences ESHRE, where she acquires world knowledge, which she lectures at Slovak gynecological and urological congresses. Since 2018, she has been part of the ISCARE team as the head of the Andrology Laboratory.

Mgr. Silvia Schmidtmayer studied Psychology at the Faculty of Arts of Comenius University. She deals with psychodynamic psychotherapy at SIPP. Since 2010, she has been involved in the issue of artificial fertilisation, particularly from the female perspective as well as the couple, throughout the whole process, followed by psychological treatment after a successful or unsuccessful cycle. She is active in patient civil associations, including Amazonky (breast cancer patients) and the Civil Association of Patients with Dermatological Malignancies. In 2016 she attended a course at the prestigious University College London, focused on the issue of infertility and assisted reproduction from the patient’s perspective. Schmidtmayerová regularly contributes with her knowledge and experience to a number ofprofessional journals and media.
